Featherstone Academy and Albert Bradbeer Primary Academy join the ECMAT family
We are delighted to welcome Albert Bradbeer Primary Academy and Featherston Academy (Formerly Whitgreave Primary School) to the Education Central Multi Academy Trust, University of Wolverhampton.
Both schools converted on September 1st 2014 with Featherstone Academy celebrating when the pupils retunred on the 2nd September and Albert Bradbeer Primary Academy combining celebrations with several events throughout this academic year which also sees the academy celebrating their 60th anniversary.
Featherstone Academy was formally opened by Sir Geoff Hampton, CEO ECMAT, Caroline Jobling, Head Teacher, Governors, Staffa nd pupils. They were also joined by Mary Davison a resident of the village and one of the first pupils at the school. Mary cut the ribbon with lila who started at Featherstone that day as the yongest pupil of the academy.
As part of the celebrations the staff completed their Ice Bucket Challenge for charity and the academy also took delievery of a new minibus.
